Cinque Canti

Cinque Canti (Five Cantos) is an unfinished, tragic poem by Italian Renaissance poet Ludovico Ariosto, intended as a sequel to his masterpiece Orlando Furioso. It explores the decline of the chivalric world and reflects the political and religious crises of 16th-century Europe, featuring a darker, more intense tone than its predecessor.
