Lo Ch'ing

Poet; painter, best known for his modern poetry; born in Qingdao, Shandong province, Lo Ch’ing (original name Lo Ch’ing-che) was raised and educated in Taiwan. Lo Ch’ing represents the post-war generation of artists using their identification with and experience of life in Taiwan as sources of inspiration for their art. Based in Taipei, teacher of English and Chinese culture at National Taiwan Normal University (Guoli Taiwan Shifan Daxue). -- British Museum
